Privacy Policy

This policy explains what happens to data when you use Infill: 3D Print Cost Calc (“Infill”, “the app”) on iPhone and iPad. It is written to be read, not to be survived.

The short version

Everything you type into Infill — your printers, your material prices, your hourly rate, your saved quotes — stays on your device. There is no account, no cloud sync and no server run by the developer. Infill collects nothing, transmits nothing and contains no advertising, analytics or tracking code of any kind. There is no exception to that sentence.

Who is responsible

Infill is made and operated by an individual developer:

For the purposes of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the developer is the controller for the limited processing described below — which amounts to support email and nothing else, because the app itself sends nothing anywhere.

What stays on your device

Infill is a calculator. The data it works with is created by you and stored locally in the app's private container on your device:

  • Printer profiles: name, power draw, purchase price, expected lifetime hours, maintenance cost, failure rate.
  • Material profiles: name, type, price per kilogram or litre, waste allowance.
  • Workshop settings: currency, electricity tariff, hourly rate, margin or markup, tax rate, marketplace fee schedule.
  • Saved quotes: the job inputs you entered and the price the app calculated.
  • Whether Infill Pro has been purchased.

None of this is transmitted to the developer. There is no login, no registration, no backend service and no developer-run analytics, crash reporting or telemetry of any kind. The developer cannot see your prices, your quotes or how you use the app.

This data is included in an encrypted device backup if you make one (iCloud Backup or a local backup), because iOS backs up app containers. That backup is between you and Apple; the developer has no access to it.

Purchases

Infill Pro is sold as an in-app purchase through the App Store. The transaction is handled entirely by Apple using StoreKit. The developer never sees or receives your name, address, card number or any other payment detail — only an anonymous, aggregated sales report from App Store Connect. Apple's handling of the purchase is covered by Apple's Privacy Policy.

To check whether you own Pro, the app asks StoreKit on your device about the transactions tied to your Apple Account. That check happens between your device and Apple.

If you contact support

If you email levin.schwab@gmx.de, the developer necessarily receives your email address and whatever you write. That message is used only to answer you, kept no longer than needed for that purpose, and never used for marketing or passed on. The legal basis is legitimate interest in responding to a support request (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

What the app does not do

  • No user accounts, no sign-in, no email collection inside the app.
  • No cloud storage or sync operated by the developer.
  • No advertising SDKs, no ad identifiers (IDFA or IDFV), no tracking prompt.
  • No analytics, attribution, session recording or crash-reporting SDKs.
  • No selling or sharing of your data with data brokers.
  • No access to your contacts, photos, microphone, camera or precise location. Infill does not request these permissions.

Retention and deletion

Your app data lives on your device for as long as you keep it. Deleting an entry in the app deletes it. Deleting the app removes the whole container and everything in it. Because the developer holds none of it, there is nothing to request deletion of and no server-side copy to erase.

Your rights

If you are in the EEA or the UK, you have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict and object to the processing of your personal data, the right to data portability, and the right to withdraw consent. For app data, you can exercise access, correction and deletion yourself — it is all on your device and visible in the app. For anything else, or to complain, write to levin.schwab@gmx.de. You may also lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

Children

Infill is a business tool for people who sell 3D prints. It is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect data from children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your country).

International transfers

The developer transfers no data anywhere, because the developer receives none. Nothing leaves your device.

Changes to this policy

If the app changes in a way that affects data handling — a new SDK, a new feature that sends something somewhere — this page is updated and the date at the top changes with it. Material changes will also be noted in the App Store release notes.
